Clipper Group have never had an online learning presence and relied solely on classroom based learning; there was also a hurdle to overcome in regards to how training is audited, stored, and accessible across the company. With a huge logistic presence up and down the country the need to centralise a hub where all staff could access the same training material, managers could aid in their staffs progression and knowledge was essential.
eLamb LMS has allowed for the standardisation of training across the company, where processes and health and safety training were needed to be consistent. All sites from Glasgow to Milton Keynes had access to Clipper training modules and all managers could track and upskill their staff as needed. Line Managers and General Managers were appointed as “champions” of the LMS to push the training.
Over 800 staff were enrolled onto the LMS at launch and over 5000 completions were recorded within the first 3 months. The success of using LMS champions saw the roll out a success and the inclusion of Blended Learning to the rest of the 5000 staff members is the second stage. All training is now audited using the LMS with monthly reporting sent to the HR Director for a results based discussion where/what to do next month.
